Marilyn L. Bonetati, ESQ.

Marilyn L. Bonetati, in addition to her considerable experience as defense and coverage counsel for a multitude of insurance carriers, has an extensive background in managing and adjusting claims and is licensed by the State of California as an independent insurance adjuster.


Ms. Bonetati earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, magna cum laude, in 1969 from the
University of Southern California, with a degree in Mathematics, Physics, English and Speech.
She was made a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Ms. Bonetati then obtained her
Master of Arts Degree from California State College, Los Angeles in 1971. Thereafter, she
received her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University, College of Law, graduating cum
laude, in 1985. Ms. Bonetati graduated in the top two percent of her class, was Managing Editor
for Law Review, recipient of the Outstanding Editor Award and Research Director.

 

Ms. Bonetati commenced her legal career with a Judicial Clerkship for the Honorable Edward
Laird. She has successfully handled, for the defense, thousands of Superior Court cases to
conclusion, including approximately 50 jury trials, court trials, administrative proceedings and
judicial arbitrations.

 

Ms. Bonetati has been panel counsel for numerous insurance carriers and clients including
General Motors, General Electric/Westport/First Specialty, Ashland, Lloyds of London, Darwin
Professional Underwriters, Century Surety, Meadowbrook, Mercury Insurance, CNA, Eastman
Kodak, USF Insurance, NAC Insurance and Best Western International. She also works with
many third party administrators for insurance carriers including Claims Resource Management,
Crawford Technical Services, Ward North America and Gallagher Bassett Services.


She has experience in all major areas of tort litigation including construction defect, bodily
injury and premises liability litigation, contract and real estate litigation, medical malpractice and
managed care, professional E & O/malpractice, products liability and personal injury defense.
She helped redefine product liability law in favor of the defense by limiting the use of the
consumer expectation test when she was lead counsel for General Motors in the Superior Court
jury case Terri Soule v. General Motors. Ms. Bonetati also has extensive experience in all
aspects of state and federal appellate practice and coverage analysis.


She has also testified as an expert witness in the areas of real estate, real estate law, legal
malpractice and brokers duties. Additionally, Ms. Bonetati has given seminars and presentations
to corporations and insurance carriers on a wide variety of legal topics, including insurance
coverage, bad faith, construction defect, environmental litigation, professional errors and
omissions and managed care.


Ms. Bonetati also possesses a Standard Life Teaching Credential and is a licensed real estate
broker.

Michelle C.L. Edborg, ESQ.

General Counsel

Michelle C.L. Edborg specializes in insurance coverage matters, employment law,
construction defect, personal injury, and business litigation. She has written hundreds of
coverage opinions for a number of insurance carriers. In addition, she has defended
insurance companies in a variety of litigation matters, including bad faith litigation,
contribution lawsuits and declaratory relief matters. She has successfully extricated
insurers from litigation by way of demurrer as well as summary judgment. In addition,
Michelle has been involved in writing insurance policies and has written dozens of
endorsements. Michelle’s litigation experience includes trials, arbitrations, mediations
and appellate work.


Michelle earned her law degree from Whittier Law School, where she was the recipient
of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Prior to this, she earned her Bachelors of Science
degree in Management of Organizations from Pacific Christian College.


She joined Premier Claims Management, LLC in February 2007. During this time, she
has evaluated coverage issues, adjusted claims, attended mediations, and has worked with
panel counsel. She is proactive and understands the need to move cases toward
resolution while still protecting the interests of the insured and the insurance company.

Matthew A. Arigo specializes in insurance coverage matters, Matthew A. Arigo specializes in insurance coverage matters, construction defect, personal injury, and business litigation. He comes to us from the Orange County law firm of Callahan & Blaine where he specialized in complex business litigation and was instrumental in achieving one of the largest settlements in the firm’s history. Matthew’s experience includes an extensive range of international and civil law practice, as well as private legal consulting.


Matthew earned his law degree from the Southwestern Law School, following
completion of his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
He was selected as a legal extern for the United States Attorney's Office in Los Angeles,
California.


Prior to joining Premier Claims Management, LLC as claims counsel, Matthew served as
a legal consultant for Campbell Cohen Worsoff in Montréal, Québec. Before practicing
law, Matthew managed high-value transactions for Guggenheim, Asher Associates in
Beverly Hills.

Linda Carr is a licensed California attorney with over twenty five years of legal and
insurance industry experience handling complex domestic and nationwide claims for
international and domestic carriers, inclusive of coverage and litigation management.


Her litigation experience includes litigating personal injury cases and managing litigation
by outside counsel for variety of insurance claims, including construction defect,
professional liability, and Property and Casualty.

JOSEPH PINELL
Claims Adjuster

Joe Pinell obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication in June 1998 from Chapman University in Orange California. Joe began his career in dealing with construction defect suits as a paralegal in 2002. In that capacity, he learned the value of utilizing the correct experts, obtaining necessary construction documents and evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a construction claim. During this time, he also had the opportunity to second chair trials as a paralegal and really take note of jury responses and reactions to evidence.

 

 

Since then, Mr. Pinell transitioned to adjusting construction claims, which he has been doing with Premier Claims Management, LLC since 2005. He is now a seasoned professional in the true sense of the word. He has now transcended the field of construction defect as he has developed his skill to include handling claims of many different types, including architects & engineers, pollution, and products defect. He is an expert at interpreting and understanding insurance policy language, while at the same time, managing to keep claimants and insureds calm and satisfied.

 

 

With a strong grasp of claims litigation from actually being in front of juries as a paralegal, Joe has been handling complex litigated files. He uses his skills to resolve claims with fair and equitable resolutions.

KRYSTAL MUTSCHLER

Claims Adjuster

 

Krystal has experience handling and adjusting professional liability and property damage claims. She has a strong understanding of insurance and is readily able to interpret insurance policy language. She maintains the ability to work with both, insureds and claimants, to reach fair and equitable resolution to her claims. She has a demonstrated ability to negotiate.

 

Krystal specializes in Medicare Compliance in accordance with Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (MMSEA) and Medicare Advantage Plans. Her strong communication skills are key to successfully executing all procedures necessary for proper compliance in relation to all parties involved.

 

As a journalism major, she is an expert at investigating matters and documenting them accurately. She has been in the insurance industry since 2007.
